Moisture measurement of oilseeds; for lab and process
When soy, rapeseed and sunflower oil seeds come fresh from the field, they often have too high a moisture content. They must be dried and properly checked before being stored in large silos for processing. The amount of oil obtained during pressing is highly dependent on the moisture content of the seeds or beans. So you don't want to store oilseed too moist and not too dry. With the TEWS moisture analyzer you measure the moisture deep into the core of oil seeds and not, as with other techniques, mainly on the surface. This way you ensure a good supply and the most oil when pressing.
