Moisture determination of non-homogeneous pharmaceutical products

(Inline) NIR is often used to control, among other things, the moisture content during the various phases of the production process. However, more and more pharmaceutical companies are seeing the advantages of a separate moisture analysis with microwave resonance technology. A moisture analysis is carried out quickly and particularly accurately, down to the core of (powder) substances and tablets. NIR is suitable for a wide dynamic range of moisture content and it can also measure other parameters at the same time. However, the penetration depth is smaller and this can be a limitation for non-homogeneous products. The moisture determination with microwave resonance from TEWS offers the solution.
