Particle analysis in the food industry

EOS

Particle analysis and particle characterization are essential in the food, beverage, and nutraceutical industries for ensuring product quality, safety, and consistency. Accurate particle size, distribution, and behavior analysis in powders, emulsions, and suspensions are critical for product development and optimizing formulations. Understanding how particles behave in these materials can influence product texture, shelf life, and overall quality. Additionally, it is important to study particles released from packaging materials, such as plastics and coatings, to maintain product integrity and protect consumer health by preventing contamination.

The Classizer™ ONE provides advanced particle analysis through its innovative SPES/SPES² technologies, offering high-resolution insights into particle characteristics in complex mixtures. This tool is indispensable for professionals involved in product development, quality control, and regulatory compliance within the food, beverage, and nutraceutical industries. By accurately monitoring and analyzing particle behavior, it ensures the highest quality standards and helps prevent contamination from packaging materials. The user-friendly interface of the Classizer™ ONE makes particle characterization efficient and precise, supporting the continuous improvement of products in these sectors.

SPES particle characterization method game changer for existing and future biobased nanomaterials

Nanomaterials often consist of mixtures of fully or partially biobased materials. Think of biomedical materials and polymer mixtures. In R&D and quality control of these mixtures, traditional methods such as LD and DLS provide averaged data over the entire sample. In doing so, all particles are considered the same, just with different sizes. This can be a limitation in various R&D and QC tasks. SPES particle characterization method solves this problem.
