Measuring moisture with the microwave resonance technique in starch and starch derivatives

A quick and accurate analysis of the moisture content in a product yields benefits in many areas. With the patented microwave resonance technique from TEWS Elektronik you can measure the moisture content in starch and starch derivatives independently of size, colour, (bulk) density and mass.

The TEWS sensor measures the moisture in starch (derivatives) in-line, both on the surface and in the core of the product. The measurement is suitable for various processes due to its extensive installation options. Because changes in colour, density and mass of the product have no influence on the measurement, the result is reliable and accurate. For example, in-line installation of the moisture sensor is possible above or below a conveyor belt, in a silo or in a transport pipe (possibly as a by-pass). But the sensor also offers a solution at-line for your routine checks.

Many starch producers already use TEWS microwave resonance analyzers. When it comes to the manufacture of starch derivatives, you may benefit from a different technique. Inventech has gained a great deal of expertise and experience in this sector in the 19 years that we have been active. Our Product Managers can advise you on the correct moisture measurement for your application. Please contact Product Manager Kees van der Sar today on tel.no. +31 (0)162-4609404 or email. He is happy to tell you everything about measuring moisture in starch and starch derivatives.
