Invitation Introduction SPES-technology with CLASSIZER™ ONE

November 9th from 12.30 to 16.00 h
Oosterhout, the Netherlands

Cutting edge platform for R&D and QC of particles in biological, industrial and environmental complex fluids

EOS (Effective Optical Systems) has been founded in July 2014 in Milano (Italy). EOS unique solutions are the game-changers for improving R&D, formulation design and process quality control of products based on particles in key markets as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, pigments, inks, foods, agrochemicals and environmental sciences.

SPES (Single Particle Extinction & Scattering) is a novel patented light scattering technology which enables the analysis, classification and counting of single particles in fluid on the basis of their optical properties.

What makes the new SPES particle characterization method different?

SPES is a technology for the characterization of micro- and nanoparticles in liquids; both with high resolution. The instrument is suitable for both laboratory and real-time in-line analysis.

Together with the ability to measure particle size, distribution and other parameters (such as shape and stability, for example), the instrument is a real game changer
according to researchers. The advantages of this system are that calibration is not necessary and the device is easy to use and clean. Non-spherical particles, aggregates of particles and particles with internal structures can be distinguished from solid, almost spherical particles.

One of the main advantages of the SPES method is that it maintains its performance when working with highly polydisperse suspensions, which is a major limitation of traditional optical methods.

What to expect on November the 9th?

On the 9th of november Inventech and EOS will be happy to demonstrate how the SPES-method can help you to detect the presence and quantify the compactness of the aggregates to improve formulation stability, to avoid out-of-specifications due to instability or other inconsistencies.

Marco Pallavera,R&D Scientist, and Tiziano Sanvito (PhD), Director of EOS, will be present to answer all your questions.

The demonstration and lunch are both free of charge. Location is at Inventech headquarters on the Denariusstraat 21 in Oosterhout, the Netherlands.
