Moisture content drying process
Measuring the moisture content in a drying process is considered very important. After all, producers do not want to dry too much; this costs energy and can lower the quality of the product. Too little drying is also undesirable; too high a moisture percentage can be disastrous for the quality and possibly the shelf life of the product.
When products are traded in bulk, too much drying can cause the producer to receive a lower price for the product. A moisture analysis is therefore important to save energy, to prevent a wrong batch and to maximize the quality of the product and the profit.
