Triboelectric dust monitor for filter monitoring

Durag Gas Gas

Real-time detection of filter failures and dust emissions in dry gas streams

Filter monitoring using triboelectric dust measurement

DURAG

DURAG triboelectric dust monitors provide continuous monitoring of dust breakthrough in dry flue gas ducts. By installing the probe downstream of a dust filter, filter performance can be monitored quickly and reliably, allowing filter failures or leakage to be detected at an early stage.

The measuring probe detects the electrical charge transferred by dust particles when they collide with the sensor (flow dependent). Probe insertion lengths are available up to 1,000 mm, and the system can be configured with a range of options, including an ATEX-certified version and an external control unit.

Need to monitor additional process parameters? The triboelectric dust monitor can be expanded with integrated gas flow measurement based on the differential pressure principle, as well as absolute pressure and temperature measurement.

  • Robust design with no moving parts

  • Low-maintenance operation

  • Easy installation

  • External control unit available

  • Various configuration options, including flange connections, quick couplings, and additional relay outputs
