Optical transmission analyzers determine dust concentration by measuring the attenuation of a light beam that passes twice across the diameter of the duct. This measurement principle is particularly suitable for larger duct diameters and higher dust concentrations.
Laser-based dust analyzers operate according to the principle of optical back-scattering. For ultra-low dust concentrations, both direct and scattered laser light are detected and evaluated, providing highly sensitive and reliable measurements.
