Mobile aerosol spectrometer for air quality monitoring

The GRIMM EDM 264 is a mobile optical aerosol spectrometer for real-time measurement of particulate mass fractions and particle size distributions. The instrument is designed for both short-term and long-term continuous monitoring of particulate pollution in demanding field environments. With integrated meteorological sensors, GPS, and LTE data transmission, it provides a complete all-in-one solution for mobile air quality monitoring.

  • Wide measurement range: TSP, PM10, PM4, PM2.5, PM1, PMcoarse, and total particle count

  • Particle size range from 0.25 to 32 µm across 31 size channels

  • Full inlet characterization in accordance with ISO 21501-1

  • Integrated meteorological sensors for pressure, temperature, humidity, wind speed, and precipitation

  • GPS positioning for georeferencing measurement data

  • LTE data transmission for real-time analysis and remote access

  • Long-term stability through an internal purge system and extremely low (near-zero) drift

  • Operating temperature range from -20 to +40°C for use in all climate conditions

Certified and reliable

The EDM 264 complies with ISO 21501-1 and offers a reproducibility of more than 95% at 500 nm. The instrument is available in two versions: the Eco version for standard field applications and the Pro version with an advanced data logger and LTE connectivity for remote monitoring and real-time data transmission.
