Accurate and drift-free measurement of concentration, composition, and purity in liquids
Industrial refractometer for accurate Brix and refractive index measurement. Reliable inline concentration monitoring for the food, chemical, and industrial sectors.
The ATAGO CM-800α is a high-performance inline refractometer for continuous measurement of Brix and refractive index directly in the process stream. While conventional refractometers provide only snapshot measurements, the CM-800α delivers a continuous stream of data that accurately reflects real-time process conditions. This makes the instrument particularly suitable for applications where concentration stability is critical, such as food and beverage production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and chemical processing.
Concentration deviations often develop gradually due to variations in raw material quality, mixing ratios, or temperature fluctuations. The CM-800α detects these changes in real time, long before they become visible in the final product. Combined with automatic temperature compensation, the instrument provides accurate and reproducible measurement results under changing process conditions.
Key features of the ATAGO CM-800α:
Measurement range from 0.00 to 80.0% Brix with ±0.1% accuracy
Real-time detection of process deviations and non-conformities
Elimination of human error associated with batch measurements
Automatic temperature compensation (5°C to 100°C)
Resistant to process temperatures up to 160°C (CIP/SIP)
Suitable for aggressive media with stainless steel, Hastelloy, or titanium wetted parts
Compact design with integrated sensor and display unit
Easy integration via 4–20 mA and RS-232C
Available in an ATEX-certified version
The CM-800α is designed for long-term, reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. Its completely flat prism surface minimizes product build-up while supporting hygienic operation and easy cleaning.
The instrument complies with international hygienic standards and is suitable for both CIP and SIP processes. Thanks to its compact design and flexible process connections, the analyzer can be easily integrated into pipelines, tanks, and processing equipment.
The ATAGO CM-800α is available in a wide range of application-specific models, each calibrated for a specific liquid or measurement scale. From standard Brix measurement in the food and beverage industry to specialized versions for chemical process streams, there is a suitable configuration for virtually every application.
