Continuous, interference-free gas analysis for emissions monitoring and CEMS compliance
The Teledyne 4000 Series hydrocarbon analyzers are widely used for emissions monitoring, including leak detection, soil remediation, hazardous waste identification, and environmental monitoring. Measurements are reported in both parts per billion (ppb) and parts per million (ppm).
The analyzers operate using the Flame Ionization Detection (FID) principle. Their high sensitivity to most organic compounds, combined with an excellent linear response, ensures highly accurate measurements across the entire measurement range. This linearity enables reliable quantification from trace-level ppb concentrations up to higher ppm levels.
Flame Ionization Detection (FID)
Linear response for accurate measurements from ppb to ppm
Fast response time of only a few seconds
Suitable for continuous monitoring of gas streams
Configurable to meet specific process and application requirements
Model 4020 – Total Hydrocarbons
Accurately measures the total hydrocarbon concentration in gas streams. Ideal for gas purity monitoring, process leak detection, and emissions monitoring.
Model 4030 – Heated FID Analyzer
Comparable to the Model 4020, but equipped with a heated sample handling system to prevent condensation. Ideal for applications involving hot or moisture-laden gas streams.
Model 4040 – Methane / Non-Methane Hydrocarbons
Equipped with a gas chromatography (GC) column for the separation and measurement of methane and non-methane hydrocarbons. Suitable for process monitoring, emissions measurements, and efficiency monitoring of industrial installations.
Model 4060 – Benzene Analyzer
Specifically designed for the measurement of benzene in gas streams. Used for environmental monitoring, gas purity analysis, and industrial safety applications.
The 4000 Series analyzers are used in applications where accurate hydrocarbon detection is essential:
Emissions monitoring and environmental compliance
Leak detection in process plants and storage facilities
Gas purity monitoring for O₂, N₂, Ar, and CO₂
Detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in industrial processes
Environmental monitoring and workplace safety
